Hannah de Jesus
Hannah de Jesus is currently earning her bachelors degree in classical guitar performance at the University of Rhode Island. She started out her musical journey by singing at church and in school chorus and then began learning piano at the age of 13 from her father. She continued to advance in piano and has had opportunities to play at concerts as well as accompany singers at her high school’s open mic. She began learning classical guitar at the age of 14 and quickly fell in love with the instrument.
Through encouragement and support from her teachers as well as parents, she was able to make rapid progress with the instrument. She was given the opportunity to play solo pieces at concerts, attend the Interlochen School of the Arts Classical Guitar Intensive Camp, play in competitions, play in Rhode Island’s All-State Guitar Ensemble as well as sing in Rhode Island’s All-State Chorus, as well as the opportunity to study with Adam Levin, a world-renowned classical guitarist. Hannah has also received instruction from Mark Davis, Mathew Cochran, Nicholas Goluses, and David Steinhardt. Hannah has an extreme passion for music and has had experience teaching teenagers as well as caring for children. Although Hannah adores music, she also loves baking, spending time with her friends and family, watching movies and much more.
